Baby Ed in Washington State

April 15, 2010
  • Easily 7 million in tax dollars has been spent on studying and establishing an early learning foundation since 1999. This does not include the expense of Govenor Locke´s entourage to China to study early education in China.
  • The current proposal to put a tax on lattes is an attempt to get as many of Seattle´s children in day care (education) as possible. It is being orchestrated by the Early Learning Foundation orginally set up by the Commission on Early Learning.
  • On September 19, 2001 Mona Locke announced: I think the Early Learning Commission was the most protested Commission, more than any other Commission. We had KVI parents protesting us at every meeting. She was referring to Parents who demonstrated against the intrusive “Children´s Bill of Rights”. These parents had no connection to KVI, other than some were able to communicate through the Weisbach show until he was silenced.) Their hard work successfully kept this “Bill” from becoming a law.
  • Children´s Bill of Rights (The Foundation’s marching orders.)
  • On July 13,1999 Gary S. Robinson, Office of Financial Management, State of Washington, acting as the agent of the Governor´s Commission on Early Learning, signed a contract with Cocker Fennessy (“Got Milk”)of Seattle , Washington for one million dollars and another 5 million dollars plus matching funds from private business (OFM Contract No. 99-67).
