Video – Another attempt to silence a parent’s protest against the Common Core
April 6, 2014
Last September there was a video about the Maryland father who was arrested after being removed from a Common Core meeting. He felt that key questions, which had to be submitted on slips of paper, were being unanswered by officials from the Maryland Department of Education who were running the meeting. A security guard removed this parent from the meeting, escalating what started as a passionate question.
Now we have another incident. Recently a Sacramento mother was banned from being on her son’s elementary school grounds for her stance against the Common Core. See this latest video, posted April 4, 2014.
Is this the United States of America? What happened to free speech?
I have more questions:
These are the instances which happen to be on YouTube. Have there been other incidents that have not been posted on the internet?
Are citizens only permitted to exercise their freedoms when the government approves?
Since parents are paying taxes to run the public schools, actually these officials work for the parents. Shouldn’t they allow parents and citizens–their employers– some input into what is happening to the children at school?
And where are the mainstream media?
