The USA is one of the highest spenders on education in the OECD

“…As we can see, with the exception of Switzerland, the United States spends more than any other country on education, an average of $91,700 per student between the ages of six and fifteen…”

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University analyzed the education spending of the nations in the  Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD), an international organization of 34 member countries. The USA is topped only by Switzerland in this recent analysis, but unfortunately US students do not score as well as other countries which spend less.  Read the article and see the graph.
