Washington Awarded $17.3 Million for Education Data System
June 20, 2010
Imagine a data system that collects data on you from your early preschool years until you are at least 20. At age 20, data systems at your place of employment or higher education would take over, so there would be an electronic dossier on you, an average citizen, for your entire life. Most likely this would be more than just a list of your grades and attendance. Judging from assessment questions which reveal students’ attitudes and values and the fact that all the assessments are on the computer, the dossier could include subjective personal information.
