To Adopt or Not? States Will Decide on Common Standards

The Federal Government, through “Race to the Top” education grants, is implementing national one-size-fits-all curriculum standards. Not all states will receive the money, but participating states are changing their standards in hopes of receiving funding. Only Alaska and Texas have decided not to participate. The glitch?
